Vernon has enjoyed 20 colourful years in advertising and PR, broadcasting, theatre and stage. He has conceptualized award-winning advertising campaigns since 1984, with some advertising concepts still in use nearly two decades later.

The right passion...

Having been trained as a Theatre Arts major in his B. A. (English) degree programme at University, Vernon has represented Malaysian creative works as producer, performer, and participant in numerous arts and film festivals, and cultural exchange missions for the creative industries, both in Malaysia and abroad.

He conceived, produced and presented Malaysia's first syndicated radio show in English, called CELCOM-ON-THE-AIR. It was the first ever multi-station show syndicated nationwide.

Together with ex-Olympic swimmer, Jeffrey Ong, Vernon scripted and presented Malaysia's first IT television show, CYBERWAVE at TV3.

Ever since getting on the Internet in the early 1990s, Vernon to this day continues to spearhead the use of new media for arts activism.
